Mosque visits
Over the last couple of weeks, our pupils had a wonderful opportunity to visit a local mosque as part of their learning about different cultures and religions. The trip was an eye-opening experience that helped students understand the importance of respect, diversity, and community.
During the visit, the children were warmly welcomed by members of the mosque, who gave them a guided tour and explained the key features of Islamic worship. They admired the beautiful architecture, saw the prayer area, and the wash area. The students asked thoughtful questions and were fascinated to learn about the local mosque.
This visit was a fantastic way for our students to broaden their understanding of Islam which is our current topic in our Religious Education lessons. A big thank you to the mosque for their warm hospitality and for making our trip so memorable!
