St James’ is federated with Hatherley Infant School. However, children from other neighbouring schools are also very welcome. 

Before starting in Year 3, there will be several chances for your child to meet the teachers and visit the child’s future classroom. This will ensure all children feel happy and familiar with their surroundings before becoming part of the community. Children who currently attend Hatherley Infants will participate in joint activities to make the transition as seamless as possible. 

St James' Church of England Junior School follows Gloucestershire County Council's admissions policy; applications for a school place outside the normal admissions timetable should be sent to the school in the first instance.
